Our Yoga garda lake

Yoga garda lake is a path of self-control. Through the practices of Asana, Pranayama, Bandha, Mudra and Kriya we find harmony with ourselves and with the world around us.

Most of the types of yoga we encounter in the Western world have all developed from the most physical yoga of the last century, which is all derived from Krishnamacharya … .. and includes Ashtanga and Iyengar yoga, and more recently also Vinyasa Flow, and their influences can also be seen in Anusara Yoga.

The yoga that we share is very different from these “physical oriented yoga” and deals mainly with one’s own being in its entirety.

It is an ideal form of yoga even for those who have never practiced, because it starts very gently and uses the awareness of the breath from the beginning, and works with many layers of one’s being. Relaxation is felt almost immediately, followed by stronger beneficial effects as the asanas are strengthened and gradually adapted to the practice.

ASANA

These are positions and movements of the body to balance the body and the mind. They are defined as antirheumatic and for the health of the back. Pawanmuktasana (anti-rheumatic), Shakti Bandha (unblocking energies), positions of relaxation, pre-meditative, bending, upside down and Surya Namaskara (sun salutation).

PRANAYAMA

Respiratory practices. They activate and spread energy, against anxiety and stress. Prana is the vital or ethereal force, Yama means “to control”. Because of this, pranayama techniques stimulate and increase vital energy, finally obtaining perfect control over the flow of prana in the body.

MEDITATION

The state of meditation develops through Mantra and visualizations. Calm and focus the mind. In the yogic system meditation is not reached instantly, but there is a process in which the mind is gradually withdrawn.

YOGA NIDRA

Deep relaxation. Yoga Nidra is the basis for health and harmony, works on the depth of our tensions and attenuates them. Furthermore Yoga Nidra is the most effective psychic, physiological and rejuvenating sleep of normal sleep. As a result, one hour of yoga nidra is as restful as four hours of normal sleep. For this reason it transforms the mind, releasing deep unconscious conflicts, letting go of mental tension.

The 5 paths of Yoga garda lake

The tradition of yoga identifies numerous variations of yoga that are classified into five basic groups. They are linked to the most important aspects of our personality:

Karma yoga: the path of activity.
Bhakti yoga: the path of devotion.
Jnana yoga: the path of investigation.
Raja yoga: the path of introspection.
Hatha yoga: the path to balance the forces of the mental, physical and subtle body (pranic or bio plasma).

In reality, it is better to practice, to somehow , all the five main paths of yoga, with particular attention to the path that is more in line with the predominant aspect of our personality. This is the path that should be followed with more focus, because it is in harmony with our nature.
